Emkan views economic development as a process of strategic partnerships that not only stimulates investments to promote sustainable economic growth, but also intervenes to elevate the livelihood of rural communities. Emkan seeks to identify and fill gaps in existing services and knowledge areas of the economically active communities in Lebanon. Emkan’s strategic goals are to:
Stimulate socio-economic development and strengthen the competitiveness of agricultural value chains in various parts of the country, commencing with the establishment of key institutions in North Lebanon through economic investment projects.
Enhance the business-enabling environment through support programs that strengthen industry-level competitiveness and marketability. This will include agricultural extension services, marketing support, and information services.
Strengthen micro- and small enterprises through the provision of business development services.
